My new design is an excellent small boat to use an electric motor with!. The etek motor in the 15' electric launch is built by briggs & stratton for robots and small electric vehicles. it will handle 12-48 volts and will produce a maximum of 8 hp at about 4000 rpm. in the boat it is setup with a 4:1 reduction and running 24 volts rpm at the prop is about 450..
