Man, that 60 horse should plane that thing off no problem. i do know on my yamaha, when you want to trim it down, it seems like it takes forever for it to trim all the way down past the tilt position. but if you don't do it, the boat won't plane off very fast either. i would just make sure it is trimmed down all the way to your stop.. why won't my boat plane out My first thought would be to have your outdrive or transmission checked. the 'trim" is usually what helps the boat plane up out of the water. you want the trim all the way down when starting up, then as you pick up speed, gradually bring the trim up to help push the boat forward and plane out..
